This week, Coots have had a wonderfully musical week! We have been learning about our focus book, Up, Up, Up by Susan Reed, which we have been singing beautifully together.

Our maths learning on repeated patterns also led us into music, as we explored tapping patterns on our bodies. We then enjoyed watching Rhythm One Body Percussion. We started by tapping out the days of the week and then listened to a piece by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, which we also hear during sensory circuits. It was great fun clapping, tapping and stamping all together!

We have also had a small change to our timetable this week. We introduced a new timetable, talked through the changes together and thoroughly examined the changes! The children are now getting used to the new routine well.

Next week, our focus book will be The Naughty Bus. In the story, the bus drives around the house and goes into the garden. To support our learning, please could you email photos of your house and garden to thequay@stfrideswides.co.uk or send some in with your child.
