Tomorrow we are having a celebration of Light, emphasising the light rather than the darkness of Halloween. We have invited all staff and children to dress up as Saints or in their own Festival of Light finery as part of this celebration.
The 2nd of November is the FEAST DAY of HOLY SOULS is the phrase used by the Catholic Church for the faithful departed and November is the month that the Church prays especially for those who have died. You, your family and the school community are invited to include all your departed loved ones by name to be remembered in prayer each time we celebrate Holy Mass this month.
Please write on a piece of paper, any names of your departed loved ones of family or friends, those who have died, and either send it with your child or place in the special box in Reception at School. They will be included in special prayers in all the masses said this November.
We will be placing the boxes of names in the chapel and before the altar during every Mass.
