Science Week continues in Year 4 & 5

Year 2 attended our Sorry Service this afternoon.
We had a wonderful afternoon in the chapel, celebrating how God forgives us even when we make mistakes.
Year 3 use shading to create line and texture in their art.
Year 2 explore sneaky shadows.
This morning we heard about a boy who lost his shadow. We discussed how shadows are formed and when we would find a shadow and if or how we could make a shadow disappear.
Year 4 & 5. Romeo and Juliet

Beth's Year 1 phonics group are reading about making pots.
Our new book this week, in phonics, is all about how Jay makes a clay pot. We had a go at making a pot using Plasticine today, following Jay's example.
Year 2 are having a go at telling the time
In Maths we have been looking at telling the time, focusing on o'clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to.
Taff work with Brother Paul
In our RE elective we have been focusing on the church and what it means to be part of God’s family. Today we enjoyed a visit from our priest, Brother Paul.

Windrush Day Celebration
Join us at St Mary and St John Church on Sunday 22nd June at 10.30 for a special service of thanksgiving to honour the contribution of the Windrush Generation to the church and our community. All warmly welcome! Some of the children from St Frideswides will be singing and exhibiting some of their Windrush-themed artwork.

Community News: Kidical Mass Cycle Ride from Florence Park this Sunday 11th
Kidical Mass is a family-friendly mass bike ride going from outside Florence Park Cafe in Rymers Lane into the centre of Oxford. It is fully marshalled. It is designed to increase families’ confidence in cycling together on public roads and cycling paths, taking advantage of visibility and safety in numbers. They promote the idea that kids should be able to go by bike to school or to their leisure activities.
