    Islands Reflect and Review

20 January 2023 (by Lauren Arbour (Lauren))

This week in Islands we have been asking the big question- does creation help people understand God?

Through various different activities and lessons, we have explored the Creation story and what this means to Christians. We thought about what our most prized possession was and how we looked after it, is this similar to how we look after the World?

We thought about how we looked at the world and how we could be better. We created wonderful posters advising people about the things they could do to look after our world- recycle, reuse, turn off the electric when we are not using it, walk to school, grow plants and flowers.

We were really lucky to have Curate Claire join us for a hot seating session, where we asked lots of questions and listened to stories.

Next week we will be investigating the weather in the United Kingdom and learning about meteorologists Francis Beaufort and John Dalton. We will be investigating different ways to measure weather and carrying out our own investigations. Can you keep a weather diary this weekend and bring it to school on Monday?
