The children mastered techniques in making different joins, folds and A- frames to ensure that their structure was strong and sturdy. We also explored how we could use anchors to make our structure even better. 

The children were set the challenge to make a structure using resources of their choosing during their plan and do time. There were some very creative structures made using knex, junk modeling, Lego, straws and even themselves. We investigated how structures were important when thinking about our extreme weather topic- would we survive? 

Next week we will be exploring printing in Art. We will be looking at moody and happy colours and creating different weather patterns with acrylic paints.
