This week we explored materials in our science lessons. We investigated different  materials and distinguished what they could be used for. Once we had finished our investigations we planned what materials we would need to make a kite. 

Once we made our kites, we tested them and thought about whether we had chosen the correct materials and what we could do better if we made another kite. 

Next week as Artists we will be exploring the artist Henri Rousseau and how, like him, we can use different effects to show emotions, depending on what skills we use, in this instance, collage and materials.

We will be taking inspiration from the greats, like Henri Rousseau and linking out learning to the botanical gardens, like he did, to support our art. Some of his most famous paintings include ‘Tiger in a Tropical Storm’, which we will be recreating.
