Islands Weekly Reflect and Review17 March 2023 (by Lauren Arbour (Lauren)) |
This week we have taken the little prince on a journey through the United Kingdom, looking specifically at England and all the wonderful places and things it has to offer, in our opinion.
This week the children have spent time exploring the 4 countries that make up the United Kingdom. We welcomed The Little Prince into our classroom and enjoyed sharing our geographical knowledge with him. We asked and answered questions like- what is England like? Where do you recommend visiting? What season would be the best one to visit and why?
The children have explored globes and atlas’ looking for countries that they have moved from, that their families are from and that they have visited. We have listened to each other and embraced the diverse community that we are a part of. The children have shown just how proud they are to belong to such a kind and caring community and class.
Next week, we will continue to explore to dive deeper into ‘The Little Prince’ project by communicating historically, in this case, our journey through our own lives. We will also look at the seasons across the year and plan the little princes visit, using dates where appropriate.
What season would you say is the best to experience in England?
