    Islands Weekly Reflect and Review

30 June 2023 (by Lauren Arbour (Lauren))

This week is definitely going to be hard to top! The children had one of their greatest trips yet, visiting Brownsea Island. We experienced a ferry ride from Poole Harbour to the island and spend the day exploring. We walked though heathlands, board walks, the church and the natural adventure playground.

The children were asked the question- do you think Brownsea Island is and amazing place? The answer was YES! It was truly beautiful and the children were able to use all of their senses to explore it in all of its beauty!

They have not stopped talking about their visit to the sea! This was a huge highlight and a moment that we all felt peaceful, happy and grateful. The children really were amazed.

To keep their memories of the island and sea alive, we will be being geographers and artists next week. We will look closely at artist Claude Monet and his famous paintings at the seaside. We will be looking at various different beaches and sea’s in the United Kingdom and using our memories to recreate our own paintings and pictures.

Please send in any pictures of your child or family at the seaside or any pictures that you’ve taken at the seaside.
