    Islands Weekly Reflect and Review

15 September 2023 (by Lauren Arbour (Lauren))

This week Islands have continued their work as experts in the Ice Age. They have travelled back in time to search for Ice Age creatures and worked to protect the woolly mammoths.

They have worked in teams to research how to protect different Ice Age creatures and worked collaboratively to come up with a plan. They have received information from archaeologist Rashka Dave to help them join an expedition through the Ice Age. Rashka has become very interested in mammoths and wants to try to prevent them from becoming extinct with the help of the children in Islands.

Children have explored a variety of activities linked to their topic learning and are keen to share their new knowledge with you. Why not ask them:

    • What it was like during the Ice Age?
    • How did people live and survive during the Ice Age?
    • Should human lives be put before animal lives?

Next week we will finish our journey through the Ice Age before spending a little time exploring the Stone Age ready for our workshop on Monday 25th September. Thank you to those who have paid for our wonderful upcoming trips.
