Being Historians
In Island we have been talking about brave soldiers in the past and current soldiers. For this we learnt about the amazing life of Walter Tull, a talented professional footballer and how he became the first recognised black officer to lead white British soldiers into battle in World War One.
Also, we went back in time and investigated why, when WW1 started and when it ended. We looked at the facts about the Great war by role playing those who took part in WW1.
Ask your child to narrate his/her experience as being an Historian.
