In Islands we have been learning about the different ways plants disperse seeds, looking at the  BEEFFS categories. 

We have also been looking at what plants need to grow, particularly focusing upon extremely hot and cold climates where there is very little soil. They have learnt a new key term 'hydroponic', and we have created our own hydroponic farm in the classroom. 

We are currently investigating the impact sunlight has upon plants ability to grow healthily by putting some plants in sunlight and others in the cupboard.
