    Islands Weekly Reflect and Review

24 May 2024 (by Lauren Arbour (Lauren))

This week in RE we asked the big question- Is Shabbat important to Jewish children?

We started the week talking about our favourite day of the week and saying why it is special. We retold the creation story and how it relates to the Sabbath. We explored why Jewish families go to a synagogue to celebrate Shabbat.

In English this week the children have been writing their very own narrative story using the characters from the ‘Wombat goes Walkabout’. The stories that the children have been writing have been so impressive, we look forward to them sharing their final piece of writing with you!
