Oxford Mutual Aid joined us for gathering today.20 May 2025 (by Beth Taylor (Beth)) |
Celeste, from Oxford Mutual Aid, came to gathering today, teaching us about what food poverty is, how it affects people, why this happens and what OMA does.
Food poverty can affect many people for a range of reasons. There are many people within Oxford who are struggling, with OMA supporting over 1000 people a month.
Donations are made by supermarkets, restaurants and other members of the community. Volunteers work to put parcels together for those who need them.
To support this great cause, we will be fundraising on the 6th June - a non-school uniform day, where we ask for a donation of £1 and a tin of food - thank you.
