Rainbows in year 228 March 2019 (by Beth Taylor (Beth)) |
This afternoon in Leith we looked at how rainbows are formed. We then created our own rainbow in the classroom using lots of objects that we could find.
We looked at what happens to light when it hits a rain drop and how it splits from white light to all the colours we can see and more! We used wool to see how light goes from travelling in one straight line to splitting and showing many lines of colour yet being the same beam of light.
Beth asks "Can you make a real rainbow inside? If so, how?" We'll explore this next week.
