Egg watch!14 November 2019 (by admin) |
9 of the chicks have hatched and are fluffing up in the incubator - the others should hatch in the night. They will stay in the incubator until first thing in the morning when we will move them into their brooder boxes. The chicks don’t begin to eat or drink until almost 36 hours after they have hatched as they finish consuming the yolk before hatching.
Unfortunately we won’t be able to live stream the hatch tonight as the light would keep the chicks up when they need to rest.
See you in the morning!
