    • Subitising fun
      We have been practising our subitising and using our five frame to show how many things are in the pictures. We have been very busy and have enjoyed subitising during plan do.
    • Is there room on the broom?
      We had a great time in PE flying on our broomsticks high and low and we practised running with light steps. We worked hard to follow our partners moves too.
    • Coral Reef Weekly Reflect and Review
      In our Drawing club sessions we have been learning new vocabulary such as slimy, disgusting and courage. We have been drawing and labelling witches and drawing what we would like to eat out of the witches kitchen.
    • Making patterns
      Today in maths the children were creating repeating patterns. Some children were inspired to create more patterns with objects they found in our garden.
    • Focused Phonics
      Children in Rockpool have been following the Golden Rules - especially working hard in phonics.
    • Helicopter stories
      The children were introduced to wonderful world of Helicopter Stories today. Each week the children have an opportunity to tell their own story which is scribed by an adult and then acted out at the end of the day.
    • Coral Reef learning
      This week we started our topic It’s a kind of Magic’ we have been learning bout Diwali and how families celebrate. We have been thinking about why we celebrate bonfire night.
    • Diwali
      Today we learnt about the Hindu festival Diwali. We created Rangoli patterns with chalk outside.
    • Internet safety in the Coral Reef
      Today we learnt about being safe on the internet, when we use computers, tablets and phones.
