A poetic week this week! The weather helped us out as we planned our own poems based around the Snow.
Sign up to National Online Safety and complete a course in internet safety for parents. For every certificate you email in you’ll earn a whopping 75 house points for your child’s house.
We've had some fantastic home learning in Oceans' this week. We've been writing our own poems in English and some of the children have written their own poems for home learning!
As part of our Wild things topic, this week the children in Coral Reef are making their own monsters using clay. They are building on the skills they learnt last week to create their monster.
This free online safety guide looks at iPads, the world’s most popular tablet computers. It highlights possible hazards including the risk of age-inappropriate content, physical damage to the device and potential screen addiction.
This week Islands have been inspired by the famous artist Henri Rousseau. They have worked incredibly hard to create their own masterpiece, that is unique and personal to them.
We have been busy creating our 3D maps out of clay this week, the children have all demonstrated high levels of engagement, focus and concentration as they manipulated the clay using a range of skills and techniques.
This week has been a week full of exploring, testing our limits and challenging ourselves!
This week Explorers have began reading Running Wild in English, worked hard on perimeter, area and volume in maths, and have been working on turning drawings into 2D sculptures.

School admissionsSchool admissions for September 2026 intake has now opened. If your child turns 4 yrs old by 31st August 2026, you will need to apply for a school place. Flu Consent Form - Action RequiredThe annual school aged Flu vaccination programme this year, is being offered to all children in Years Reception to Year 11. Flu can be a very unpleasant illness for children and sometimes causes serious complications. Children can catch and spread flu easily so vaccinating them also protects others who are vulnerable e.g. babies and older people.
This is particularly important as COVID-19 continues to circulate and people at risk of flu are also vulnerable to the complications of COVID-19.
Whether you wish for your child to have their Flu vaccine or you do not, please complete the form at least one full school day before the session. After this date you will find the online system will not work. The system will reopen the day after the school session to enable a form to be registered and a community clinic appointment be booked.
For most children, the Nasal Flu vaccination is painless and given by a quick and simple spray up the nose. In somemedical circumstances it is necessary to administer the Flu vaccine by intramuscular injection instead of the nasalspray, but this will always be discussed with parents/carers beforehand.
