Another busy week in the Pod.
The children are so excited to share their learning with you at open day tomorrow!
See you there 9-11.Bring friends and family and wear uniform to earn Golden House Points.
This week we have been learning about Diwali the festival of light.
This week in Oceans we've been thinking about the Anglo Saxons and why they travelled to Britain, including building Anglo Saxon houses and playing a game of invasion!
Another busy week looking at Diwali, hedgehogs and other nocturnal animals.
Today the children engaged in a range of activities to celebrate Children In Need. We talked about the importance of kindness and how we help others.
This week it was all about owls.

Free SEND workshops for Parents and Carers from SENSE LearningDear Parents and Carers,
Happy new year to you all.
I wanted to let you know about upcoming Parent Workshops, taking place throughout the Spring Term as part of our ongoing parenting offer.
This term we will be running six workshops, designed to support parents and carers with practical guidance, up-to-date information, and strategies that can be used at home. The sessions are a great way to learn, build understanding, and gain confidence in supporting your child’s development and wellbeing.
Workshop topics include:
Emotional development and its link to behaviour
Parenting styles and attachment
Brain development in children and young people
Self-regulation and sleep
Online safety
Understanding young people’s mental health
Booking information
All workshops are free to attend
Tickets can be booked via Eventbrite
Places are limited, so we encourage early booking
Full details of each session, including dates and times, are available on the Eventbrite booking page which is on the attachment in the email.
We hope you will be able to join us and take advantage of this valuable opportunity to learn more and connect with other parents and carers in a supportive environment.

School admissionsSchool admissions for September 2026 intake has now opened. If your child turns 4 yrs old by 31st August 2026, you will need to apply for a school place. The deadline for admissions is 15th January 2026. If you need any help in applying for a place please come and see Sarah in the Pod and she will be more than happy to help.

Community News: Free Community Christmas Pantomime at St Mary & John’s ChurchPanto: 7 Days to Save Christmas!
Date: Saturday 29th November, 4:00pm
Venue: St Mary & John’s Church, Cowley Road
Join us for a festive afternoon of fun, free hot chocolate, marshmallows, and laughter, as we enjoy a professional pantomime for all ages — a wonderful way to get into the Christmas spirit!
