During RE this week, we answered the question - who should we follow? We explored what it meant to be a leader and a follower and what we believed as a class.
Our adventure through traditional tales continued this week and on Monday we discovered that a Gingerbread Man and his friends had been caught on camera visiting our classroom over the weekend!
Beluga Whales won the class 100% award this week, well done for having a full class every day.
Updated for 2023, this online safety guide takes another look at Among Us: a futuristic murder mystery that’s found an enthusiastic audience of young gamers.

The pool was closed for maintenance today . Instead, year 5 found out about water safety and rescue.
Today the children had a wonderful time with the story museum, bringing a range of characters to life. The children were all completely engaged as they took part in the stories told.
This week the children have been captivated by the traditional story 'The magic Porridge Pot' some of the children included elements of the story in their own storytelling and role playing.

Free SEND workshops for Parents and Carers from SENSE LearningDear Parents and Carers,
Happy new year to you all.
I wanted to let you know about upcoming Parent Workshops, taking place throughout the Spring Term as part of our ongoing parenting offer.
This term we will be running six workshops, designed to support parents and carers with practical guidance, up-to-date information, and strategies that can be used at home. The sessions are a great way to learn, build understanding, and gain confidence in supporting your child’s development and wellbeing.
Workshop topics include:
Emotional development and its link to behaviour
Parenting styles and attachment
Brain development in children and young people
Self-regulation and sleep
Online safety
Understanding young people’s mental health
Booking information
All workshops are free to attend
Tickets can be booked via Eventbrite
Places are limited, so we encourage early booking
Full details of each session, including dates and times, are available on the Eventbrite booking page which is on the attachment in the email.

School admissionsSchool admissions for September 2026 intake has now opened. If your child turns 4 yrs old by 31st August 2026, you will need to apply for a school place. The deadline for admissions is 15th January 2026. If you need any help in applying for a place please come and see Sarah in the Pod and she will be more than happy to help.
